Disc 1 is ready to download. Launch to begin; no BIOS selection required.

Play your way

Keyboard, controller or touch. Use the player’s Controls menu to see and change the mapping.

B

Keep your progress

Memory cards stay in this browser. Use the player menu to export saves or download a save state before changing devices.

C

Ready for the next disc

Save in game when prompted, then close the player and choose Disc 2. The player carries your memory card across disc sessions on this device. Export a backup before reloading.

Make yourself at home.

  1. Choose your disc. Disc 1 is selected by default. Hosted data is downloaded in verified chunks. You can also use your local ZIP, CHD, ISO, PBP or a CUE with its BIN tracks.
  2. Choose a BIOS mode. Built-in HLE requires no file. OpenBIOS is an experimental open-source alternative; a 512 KB BIOS from your console is recommended if either alternative has compatibility issues.
  3. Launch. The first launch downloads the emulator core from this site. Large disc images need enough free memory.
  4. Play and save. The built-in menu has controller mapping, save import/export, save states, volume and pause. To change hosted discs, save in game first, export a backup, close the player, then choose the other disc.

Local files stay on your device. Hosted discs download only when selected. Remembered BIOS and saves are stored on this device. The player copies the active memory card to device storage when closed, then restores it after the next disc starts. Export saves before clearing site data.

On a Chromebook, start with Performance or Original. Try Smooth or CRT after confirming that the game runs well.

Project notes

This player runs the original PlayStation discs through browser emulation. You can also try the experimental native campaign beta or explore the original asset viewer. The native beta includes the compiled USA story program; complete campaign compatibility is still unverified.

The supplied disc archives are available through the hosted disc picker. OpenBIOS is optional and experimental. Presets provide shader scaling and screen effects; they do not add ray tracing or higher-resolution 3D geometry.
